Brunch in Beany Green at Broadgate Circle

Earlier I said that these past weekends were spent with good old friends, and on this latest one when I met Darren, we met around Liverpool street and he agreed it was a much better choice than Oxford Circus as we could just walk anywhere...there are cool places everywhere! Cafes, Restaurants, Brunch places, Pubs and of course the Market as well!

So I liked his attitude when I was suggesting either Beany or The Breakfast Club, because he also suggested to go somewhere where I have not been to, so that's how we ended up in Beany's. And it was a great choice!

Both of us had a tasty brunch and of course with all other hipster craze and healthy eating and instagram-catchy foodies, these looked amazing as well...just scroll down for more picture.

Haha as usual I finished eating much later than he did and truly it is because I talk too much...but come one, when we have not seen each other for years and so many things happened to us in the meantime, you just want to share whether it's good or bad.

He is one of a few people I really look up to! What he achieved is incredible! And compared to when we used to live together here in London, what a career he made since then and just finished his PhD too in 1.5 years instead of the normal 3-4! Isn't that crazy! Awesome! and well done!

Anyway, scroll down to see what we had there...Avocado on charcoal with poached eggs and the Two free range eggs with added bacon and avocado :)

Throwback weekends :)

Hello dear Sentimentals :)

You know...how I sometimes complained about the dynamic friend scene here in London, but although people come and go...some of those that you became close friends may not come back to live here again, but at least visit London every now and then and that is a great moment to have a catch up about what has happened to us in the past months or years.

So in the past three weekends, this is what happened...I felt I was having instead of throwback Thursdays, throwback Sundays :)

First it was Mehdi and his wife Chris! We used to live in the same place with lots of other people back in the good old days and the last time I saw them was around 5-6 years ago at their leaving-London drinks. But as usual we could carry on talking about everything just like before :) and had lots of laughter together :)

Then the week after I met Simone and their gorgeous daughter. We know each other for around 7 years and the last time I saw them was two years ago when due to travelling we only had a limited time spent together. I really like our catch ups because she always talks form her warm heart :) we always have topics and this time we were also playing a lot with the little one who is so cheerful and clever! :)

Lastly, Darren, my Polaysian bestie :) We met gosh...ages ago...almost 10 years ago here in London living together, then after moving to Poland, we did not really see each other for long, but kept in touch and now he was back again after 5-6 years...but guess what? Coincidentally we met in Amsterdam couple of years ago :) as we saw each other's check-ins on Facebook. Unfortunately, Natalia could not join us but well...travellers meet everywhere :) so surely we will see each other soon again all three of us or maybe even more peeps from those years :)

Celebrations! :) Perfect results! Perfect meal in Skylon!

So we received the results for university and the final marks are great for this term as well! I finished my first year with two upper seconds and four first classes. Still unbelievable, but I must believe it :)

After these great marks and given that Evening Standard collaborated with many restaurants from the D&D group, offering lunches and dinners for pennies compared to their real price ranges. Some of my friends and me decided to check out one of these restaurants as the offer constructions are really tempting. In normal circumstances these dinners would probably cost a fortune, but now they are offering a generous 15£, 20£ for two courses and a glass of wine or 25£ and 30£ and a glass of bubbly in beautiful environment and with food created by talented chefs and decorated in a way that it fulfills all your senses!

So George, Michal and Andreas joined me on this evening and we tried the menu which was created and put together specifically for this one tasteful month. Our chosen restaurant was Skylon as George had memories from his first job here in London, that they were suppliers for this restaurant. I have been there before for cocktails and I know that it is a decadent venue in the Royal Festical Hall. We had three courses and they were all nice and tasty, although the boys were a little bit confused about the portions. But come on...this is fine dining, it is not going to be as huge as what we are used to served in Hungarian or Portuguese restaurants, hihi.

So for started I chose the Ham hock ballotine, which was fantastic. Really harmonised flavours which was a treat for my tastebuds :) My main the sea trout with aubergine caviar was perfect too. My only issue was with the almond ice cream from the dessert which was Cherry clafoutis with almond ice cream...well the ice cream tasted very weird, but I guess it's because it just wasn't that sugary marzipan kind of almond taste, but a natural clean unsweetened one.

Our waiter was very helpful with any questions or recommendation and last but not least was also such a cutie :) the only hindrance is that we could not sit next to the windows enjoying the view over the Thames.

Personally I had a good experience and I think this offer is just great if you are a gourmet or eve if you are not :)

P.S. Although these pics were taken before my iPhone broke, but in the morning rush I forgot to pack my camera, so all the pics were taken using only mobile phones.

Weekend brunch in Villandry

Hello again :)

In my previous post I mentioned, that before going to the park, we had a quick brunch in Villandry! Instagram is full of pictures of this place and about its food, and heard that they do bottomless brunch as well, which is a great start for a Sunday with the girlies :) but this time, we just went there to have a quick bite! :)

As the weather allowed it, many people sat outside too, all enjoying the sun with a bubbly or two :) We went all natural and no alcohol for now, so had orange and grapefruit juices and Agi went for the Toastie and I had the Egg Royale :) treat for both the eye and tummy!

The place is very elegant, but it was full with young adults all having the brunch with the bottomless bubbly! :) Our waitress was really nice and friendly...and what a shock...when I turned towards her she said 'Oh my God, love your hair' :) however the reaction how she said it, made me frightened for a tad bit of a second, but nevermind. It was a compliment and we started talking about hair styles and tips and we were all pleased :)

So have a look at our gorge brunch and ourselves as well :)  as we asked the pretty guy with his laptop next to us to take some snaps about us too :)

Have a wonderful weekend you all! :)

Sunshine! Friends! Parklife! Halo Braid!

Happy weekend everyone! :)

How are you all? Gorgeous weather here in London! Agi my BFF was here on a business trip from Hungary so it was great catching up with her too! We did some shopping, check her sunglasses and headed over to Villandry for brunch then we met George and Michal in Regent's Park!

Was so funny on our way, as they could not have been farther in the park than where they were from us, so they sent us their location pin, however once we were close to them, it turned out my phone showed one location, but Agi's showed another one.

Now, which one is the one????

So we called them and tried to find points we both could see. Plus we were waving at them, hoping they will notice us...because you won't believe but we told them we could see this round building on the side, they confirmed that. Then we said that lads were playing footie in front of us, they confirmed that too. Then we also confirmed that one of the lads is topless and an other one was wearing a burgundy T-shirt...so what is the chance of talking about two different set of people? Very low, I guess, but everything matched, yet they still could not see us waving adamantly at them or at some lads :) who started waving back :D we even talked a bit, when we realised that these lads were not the same bunch of topless guy and burgundy T-shirt guy...How funny!

Hmm and what's the lesson of this story? That in parks it's really easy to flirt with handsome guys, mainly if you are waving at them unstoppably :D

Anyhow once we all found each other, we had a really nice time :) #HappyTimes
